I’m a curious person. I want to know what motivates people, what makes them tick, what’s behind that smile or frown. I want to be backstage, on-stage, mid-discussion when capturing events, not just in the auditorium. I want to see nature from angles you don’t typically see.

Which means I want to bring people closer to the action, whether it's capturing personality in portraits or surprising moments in a city, showcasing the epic-ness of landscapes, freezing the energy and emotion of dance performances, or snapping a silly moment with my kids and pets.

This drive to get close and past the surface of things has shaped my focus on portrait, event, and nature photography. I hope it inspires people who see my photography and makes them appreciate the wonder around us.

When not taking photos, you can find me biking in upstate NY, skiing out West, skateboardwalking my dog along the Hudson River, trying to play drums to 90s rock, and geeking out over cameras, lenses, filters, photo editing etc.
